Unpopular opinion: I miss when tech help meant seeing people in person

I remember helping my cousin set up his first gaming rig in his living room. These days, he just texts me a screenshot of an error code.

Screenshots are way faster than driving across town. I don't miss wasting a whole afternoon on a simple fix.

Exactly, it's part of this whole shift where we're trading time for convenience, but the time we save just gets filled with more digital tasks. We used to have to go places and do things, which forced a kind of break. Now every problem has a fix that's just a click away, so the work never really stops. The errand is gone, but so is the drive where you'd just think or listen to the radio. We're solving things faster but losing the small spaces in between everything else.

My friend Sarah had to get a form signed by her old boss last month. She used to drive 40 minutes to his office, grab lunch on the way back, just have a quiet moment. This time she just emailed a scan and it was done in five minutes. She said it felt weird, like she solved the problem but lost the little trip that made the day feel longer, you know? Now she was just back to answering more emails.
