Vent: blew $800 on a 'professional' diagnostic tool that was just a paperweight

Bought one of those fancy all-in-one motherboard testers from an online seller last month. Supposed to read voltages, POST codes, even program BIOS chips. Sounded perfect for my side gigs. Got it, plugged it in, and the display showed garbage numbers that had nothing to do with the actual board. Turns out the firmware was so outdated it couldn't even recognize a 9th gen Intel chip. Seller ghosted me after I asked for a refund. Now I'm back to using a $15 multimeter and a cheap logic analyzer from Amazon. Lesson learned: don't trust a flashy box when the basics work fine. Anyone else get burned by these overpriced gadgets?

Ugh, I bought a similar thing once and it just showed me random numbers that looked like my cat walked on the keyboard! At least your $15 gear actually tells you something true.
