Warning: label your laptop screws, or you'll play the guess game like I did
Took apart a customer's Dell at my shop in Tulsa last Tuesday and dumped 14 tiny screws into one magnetic tray like an idiot. Spent 40 minutes matching thread pitch by eye because two of them were 2mm shorter than the rest, and I nearly stripped a standoff forcing the wrong one. Now every repair gets an ice cube tray with masking tape labels by step. What's your system for keeping screws straight on a full teardown?
