Tried a magnesium float on a small slab last Tuesday and it actually saved me from a re-pour
Customer wanted a smooth broom finish on their patio but the mix started going off faster than I expected, so I dumped a handful in and it let me work it another 20 minutes without messing up the color, has anyone else used that stuff for speeding up or slowing down set times?

Hell yeah man, that stuff is a lifesaver! Ngl, I've tossed it in a few times when a slab was cooking too fast and it bought me just enough time to finish the broom right.

Pretty sure "bought me just enough time" is exactly what it does. My buddy threw some in on a hot driveway pour last summer and it turned his panic finish into a clean job. He swore it was the only thing that kept him from having to chip out a whole section.
