Went to a job site in Des Moines and found a broom in the slab

Last Tuesday I showed up to a pour for a new garage floor and the homeowner had left his old push broom leaning against the form. We didn't see it until after the truck dumped, so now there's this handle sticking out of the corner like a weird flagpole. The guy laughed and said he always wanted a broom closet built in. Has anyone else pulled something strange out of a fresh pour or just left it for the next guy to find?
