I used to think the moon landing was fake until I saw the 1969 tracking data at a NASA open house in Houston
Last month I went to the Johnson Space Center open house and a retired engineer named Dave showed me the actual printouts from the Honeysuckle Creek tracking station in Australia. He pointed out the signal delay of 1.3 seconds between the commands and the responses, which is exactly what you'd expect from a 238,000 mile distance. That one number made me realize how hard it would be to fake all that in real time with 1969 tech, so now I'm way less sure about the whole hoax thing. Has anyone else seen these tracking logs in person or found a good breakdown of the timing?
