I was sure the Birds Aren't Real thing was just a joke, then a guy at a Tucson meetup showed me his 'proof'
For 2 years I laughed at those Bird Aren't Real stickers thinking it was a bit. Then last month at a meetup in Tucson this guy named Ray pulled out a binder with 60 pages of FAA drone registration numbers he says match up with bird sighting reports. I looked at maybe 10 of them and a few did line up in a way that made me go huh, but he could not explain why the numbers were all under 14 digits when the real ones run longer. So now I'm stuck somewhere in the middle and I want to know, has anyone here actually pulled FAA records themselves to test a claim like that?
That whole "trust me bro" pattern is everywhere now, people show you 10 pages that look fishy but skip the one boring step that would actually prove it. If the FAA numbers dont match the format then his binder is just a prop.
