Lunar soil on ebay for $4000, I called it out and got banned from the seller group

Last month I saw this listing for 'authentic Apollo 11 moon dust' from a guy in Tucson. He had a little vial, some certification paper that looked printed on a home laser. I asked him for the lot number and provenance chain, he said it was 'family private collection from a NASA janitor'. I posted the screenshots in the big space memorabilia collectors group, pointed out the scuff marks on the vial were from a standard amber apothecary bottle sold on Amazon. Mods sided with the seller, I got a 30 day ban. Two days later the listing got pulled by ebay for counterfeit. Weird part is, 3 other people in that group messaged me privately saying they had 'real' samples too, all with the same fake story. Has anyone else run into this fake artifact scam? Is there a way to actually report these groups to anyone that does something?

Makes sense, always a few weirdos in any hobby group.
