My mother in law spent 20 minutes explaining why birds aren't real at Thanksgiving in Toledo
She says the ones on the power lines near her house in Toledo don't move for 45 minutes at a time and that proves they're drones, so now I want to know if anyone else has a relative with a theory this specific or if I have to start taking notes at dinner.

Hate to break it to you but birds actually do sit still like that all the time, especially the ones on power lines. They're not frozen, they're just resting and watching for bugs or whatever. Some birds barely move for a whole hour, that's pretty normal bird stuff. The power line thing is more about them getting warm or scoping out food than anything else. Idk though maybe your mother in law is onto something and all the cardinals in my yard are government spies.
