Just realized my 3D scanner was off by 2 inches because of a loose tripod screw

I was mapping out an old church renovation in Charleston last month and kept getting weird overlaps. Spent 3 days recalibrating the software, checking the battery, even sent logs to the manufacturer. Finally my coworker just wiggled the mount and boom. Loose screw. That thing cost me 20 billable hours. Has anyone else had a stupid hardware fix like this mess up a whole job?

Tightening the mounting bracket fixed my scan alignment issues too.
