My brand new Bosch laser level died on a job in Phoenix last Tuesday
I was setting up for a ceiling grid layout around 8am and the thing just stopped working. No warning, no low battery beep, nothing. I had to finish the whole 40 foot run with a chalk line and a 4 foot level. Has anyone else had a major tool fail on them right when you needed it most?

Bet you that heat cooked the battery, those Bosch units don't handle 110° well.

My buddy had one die in his truck last summer when it hit 112 outside. Same Bosch unit, just sitting in the bed with a load of tools on top. It wouldn't take a charge after that, just blinked red at him every time he plugged it in. Had to buy a whole new one.

112 in direct sun is brutal on those batteries. Bosch can't handle that kind of heat.
