What gets me is how many people try to pop it with a needle they just wiped with rubbing alcohol. That's not truly sterile for going deep. I saw a guy use a sewing needle he heated with a lighter. The soot and carbon from the flame can actually get pushed into the skin. A sterile lancet is sealed in that little foil pack for a reason, it keeps all that junk out. It's the difference between fixing the problem and maybe causing a worse one.
