My curl perm went sideways on a regular Tuesday, how do you fix a bad batch on the spot?
Last week I had a client in for a spiral perm and my solution was sitting too long, I got distracted helping with a walk-in color consult. Half her head came out with these tight corkscrews while the other half was barely waved. I had to stop and re-wet everything, reapply a fresh mix with lower volume, and process in smaller sections to even it out. She was super patient about it, thankfully, but my hands were shaking the whole time. Has anyone else had a perm go wrong mid-service and found a trick to save it without starting from scratch?

Jumped right into fix mode the second I read this because honestly it's like the universe testing you mid-service. That whole re-wet and reapply trick with lower volume is exactly what I would've done too, just remember it's usually the timing that sneaks up on you, not the product itself. It's wild how one distraction can throw the whole rhythm off, but you handled it like a pro and that's what counts.
