Rant: Bought a $200 'professional' steamer that broke after two clients
Honestly, the motor just gave out and the company won't honor the warranty. Has anyone found a brand that actually lasts for daily salon use?

That's brutal. Warranty runarounds are the worst. Jiffy is the only brand I've seen hold up in a busy shop. Their stuff is built like a tank, costs more but doesn't die. Avoid anything labeled "pro" from big box stores, it's all junk.

Maybe it's not that serious. Lucasw84 has a point about Jiffy, but a lot of cheaper stuff works fine if you don't expect it to last forever. Just factor in replacing it as a cost of doing business.

Honestly I get where you're coming from, but constantly replacing tools isn't just a money thing. It's a huge time waste when you're in the middle of a job and something cheap breaks. That downtime costs more than the tool. I've had budget gear fail at the worst moments, and it's not worth the stress. Buying once for something that lasts just makes the whole day smoother.
