Blew $1,200 on a load cell retrofit that read garbage

Installed a fancy digital load cell system on our 50-tonner last month in Houston, and it was off by 600 lbs on a routine pick, almost dropped a steel beam on a crew. Any of you guys stick with the old mechanical gauges after a bad digital upgrade, or did I just get a dud unit?

Check the calibration procedure first, those digital units are finicky about zeroing. Garbage data usually means a wiring issue.
