Rant: an old timer in Odessa cornered me about my load chart habits
He watched me eyeball a pick last Tuesday and said 'son, that math will get someone killed', then walked me through his 1991 notebook where he had every lift written out by hand, and now I double check even the simple ones, so has anyone else had a stranger call out their shortcuts on site?

Man, that old timer did you a solid whether you wanted it or not. What got me is whether you actually pulled out the chart on that next pick or just did the math in your head again out of habit. Did he stick around to watch you run the next one or just drop the notebook wisdom and walk off?
