Showerthought: that Tuesday in March when the wind held us up 4 hours and we still made our pour
Two weeks ago we had a 60 ton pick scheduled at a school in Dayton and the wind gusts were hitting 28 mph by 6am. The super wanted to push it but I shut the boom down and we sat in the truck for 4 hours waiting it out. Around 1pm it dropped to 12 mph and we picked that AC unit clean in 90 minutes flat. What stands out is the foreman shook my hand after and said most guys would've rigged it anyway and hoped. Curious if other operators have a hard cutoff number for wind or if it depends on the load and boom angle.
