I was getting coffee yesterday and mentioned I write fiction. The barista, Sarah, said 'I always imagine a character's grocery list to figure them out.' I tried it with a stuck protagonist and instantly knew she'd buy the cheap orange juice, not the fancy kind. What's a weird little trick that's actually worked for you?
