The $200 credit repair kit from a shady site in Phoenix, I called BS and it actually did something
Last month I found this sketchy site selling a $200 credit repair kit with a 47 page PDF and a binder of letter templates. I figured it was a scam, but my score was stuck at 589 for like 2 years, so I took the gamble on a whim. I followed their dispute letter format exactly, sent it certified mail to all 3 bureaus, and 3 weeks later my score jumped to 624. The weird part is they had this 'medical billing waiver' clause that got an old collection removed instantly. Anyone else tried those pay-for-digital templates, or do you just use the free stuff from Reddit?

Realize that medical billing waivers are a legit thing under HIPAA and state laws, not some magic hack from a PDF. The bureaus have to remove medical debt under certain conditions, so that clause probably just told you what was already in the law. Your score jump is real, but it's more about the system doing its job than the $200 kit being special.
