Hit 200 episodes of my cult doc podcast log and realized I started it over a decade back
I keep a little notebook where I write down every cult doc, court case recap, and survivor interview I finish, and it just crossed 200 entries. The first 30 or so were all scribbled during my lunch breaks at a job in Akron around 2013, mostly just names and a one line reaction. Now each entry gets a full page because there are court dates, appeal rulings, and follow ups on where members ended up. What surprised me is how many of those old cases I thought were closed are still crawling through courts today. Anyone else keep a running log like this, and does yours make you feel like these stories never really end?
Watched a friend start a similar log back in 2016 and she quit after 40 entries because a case she wrote off as closed got reopened last year. She still texts me updates about it even though she stopped tracking.
