Just realized that survivor podcast comment about my framing of the 'no exit' claim was right

I used to say people could never leave the group I covered in my episode on the Albany house, and a survivor commented that framing it that way erased how hard the exit actually was and how many got out anyway. Now I always name the exit barriers and the people who pushed through, and it's maybe the best note I've gotten. Anyone else get feedback that changed how they write about leaving?
