One comment from a survivor on my hot take made me rethink the whole doc

I posted a long theory about the NXIVM finale in here last week, and someone who actually left the group pointed out I was blaming the victims by focusing on 'why they stayed'. Tbh, that stung, but it changed how I watch any cult doc now, so is it fair to critique the people inside, or should we only talk about the leaders and system?
