I used to think the Nashville church was just a strict community, but after my aunt called me crying about their 'counseling' session that demanded she hand over her savings, I finally saw the control tactics for what they were. She left last Tuesday and I'm helping her with the exit paperwork, has anyone else dealt with a family member being guilt-tripped into donating everything?

Counseling session" that demands your savings sounds less like therapy and more like a hostage negotiation with better lighting. Glad she got out before they asked for her firstborn's college fund.
