Went to photograph the empty Sears at Great Lakes Mall and got chased off by a guy who still works there
I drove 45 minutes to Mentor, Ohio to get pics of that dead Sears anchor store with the broken escalator, and a guy in a navy uniform walked out of a side door and asked me to leave within about 3 minutes. Turns out he's one of two employees still keeping the place lit and he's been doing it since 2019, and he actually felt bad and let me shoot the empty shoe department once I explained myself. Has anyone else figured out a good way to talk to the last holdout workers at these places without spooking them?
