I used to camp out for Black Friday at 4am, now I just wait for the price to drop again in January
Back in 2019 I stood outside a Best Buy in Columbus for three hours to grab a $199 laptop that was supposedly 60 percent off. Last month I watched that same model sit at full price for two weeks, then drop to $179 on a random Tuesday with no fanfare at all. Now I keep a simple note on my phone with the lowest price I've seen for anything I want, and if it hits that number I buy it, no drama. The whole flash sale thing feels like a countdown timer meant to panic you, and honestly the deals in mid January have been better than anything I ever got in line for. Has anyone else noticed prices getting slashed right after the holiday rush instead of during it?
