Hot take: I was checking prices wrong for months, the $5 shipping fee was the deal breaker
Last Tuesday I finally sat down and added up my cart totals at checkout instead of just looking at the sticker price, and a $39 lamp turned into $52 with shipping and a "handling" fee. I'd been comparing deals on the item price alone for months and never once looked at the final total, which is wild because that's the number I actually pay. How do you all spot the junk fees before you get to checkout, or do you just build the full total into your price hunting from the start?
