I finally caught the "$19.99 drone" glitch on that sketchy site and now I'm out $60 and a Saturday
Saw a post last Tuesday about a 4K drone for $19.99 on a site called TechBayDeals, and like an idiot I ordered two plus the "express shipping" add-on for another $20. The tracking number they emailed me went to a warehouse in Reno that Google says is a vacant lot, and when I called the support number a guy just laughed and hung up. My bank said I have to wait 10 days before they'll even look at the dispute, which feels like forever when you're mad. Has anyone gotten money back from one of these fake storefronts, or is it just gone once they close the site down?
