Vent: the "clearance" aisle at my grocery store had $2 olive oil with a sell-by date of last Tuesday

I get that stores unload short-dated stuff cheap, but a 12 cent markdown on salad dressing that expires in two days is less a deal and more a dare. Does anyone here actually bother with these or just walk past like I do?
