The city's open data portal beat my own spreadsheet on pothole counts
Last month I reported 14 potholes on my street in Rochester and started my own tally in a notebook. Then I pulled the city's open data file for road complaints and it showed 61 repairs on that same 8 block stretch in 6 months. My count was way off, I just missed the ones that got patched on weekdays while I was at work. The city file had dates and crew notes, mine had coffee stains. Does anyone know a good way to check if a city's open data is actually complete before I trust it over my own eyes?
