Saw a TikTok claiming microwaving food kills all nutrients, so I asked my sister who's a dietitian and she laughed for a full minute before answering.

She explained that microwaving actually preserves more vitamins than boiling since it cooks faster with less water, and then pulled up three peer-reviewed studies from reputable journals to back it up has anyone else had to debunk this specific myth for family members?

Oh man, I read that microwaves work by vibrating water molecules, not destroying vitamins.

lol @smith.elliot must be fun at parties explaining how his food isn't losing nutrients while everyone else is just hungry.

Tell him to heat stuff in a glass dish with a loose lid. Traps the steam so it actually gets hot without nuking it to death. That way you're not eating cold middle pizza rolls.
