Hot take: I blew $90 on a 'viral' teeth whitening kit from a TikTok ad and my dentist laughed
Bought one of those LED mouth tray things that every influencer swore by, and after 2 weeks my teeth looked exactly the same. Turns out the reviews I read were all from a paid promo batch and the "before and after" pics were just different lighting. My dentist in Tucson told me the gel was mostly peroxide-free filler and the blue light does basically nothing without real whitening gel. Turns out those videos are just resold dollar-store strips with a fancy box. So what actually works for at-home whitening, or should I give up and just pay for the real thing?
