Serious question, a local news clip in Tampa looked off to me
I was watching a report on the Tampa Bay 10 news site about a city council meeting, and the councilwoman's mouth movements seemed slightly out of sync with her voice. It was just a half-second delay, but it stuck with me. I checked the original stream from the city's website, and the sync was fine there. Has anyone else caught a local news outlet using what might be a re-voiced or altered clip?

Yeah, I had that happen with a clip from our city's planning board last year. I downloaded the station's version and the official one, then played them side by side on my laptop. The news clip was definitely off, like they'd edited the audio track separately and didn't line it back up right. It was just lazy work. Have you tried comparing them like that?

Check their raw feed. Local stations mess up sync all the time.

Ugh, right? Why is it always the local cut-ins? I swear, my station's morning show has the weather map a full two seconds ahead of the audio every single time. Then you get that weird echo effect on the sports highlights. It's like their whole system is held together with duct tape.
