That tip about checking the earlobe reflection finally clicked for me

You guys kept saying to zoom in on the ear in suspected fakes and I thought it was overblown, but I tested it on that new politician speech from 2 days ago and the skin texture literally melted into the background. Has anyone else had that 'oh duh' moment with a specific tell you initially shrugged off?

Yeah the earlobe thing never did much for me honestly. I've seen plenty of real videos where the compression around the ear looks all smeary too, so I take that whole trick with a big grain of salt.

My first 'oh duh' moment was the teeth thing, always thought people were reaching until I saw a fake where the chompers looked like they were painted on. Spent a whole night staring at my own toothbrush reflection like a total weirdo, convincing myself I was a deepfake. Now I can't watch any video without doing a full dental inspection, which makes for some awkward family movie nights.
