Warning: my buddy in Phoenix said my apology text sounded like a robot wrote it, and he was not wrong
He told me flat out that "I understand your frustration" reads like a call center script, so now I type the first dumb thing I would actually say out loud. Anyone else get called out for sounding fake in a text you meant for real?

My ex called me out on this exact thing back in 2022. I sent her a long text that started with "I hear what you're saying" and she replied "who talks like that" and honestly she had a point. Now I just write it how it comes out, typos and all, because at least it sounds like me. Real words beat perfect words every time.
