I think guys are sleeping on acetone for fuel system cleaning

Everyone I know swears by that Diesel-Kleen stuff but I've had better luck with plain acetone at $12 a gallon for clearing injector deposits. Has anyone else actually tried it on a high-mile Cummins or am I just getting lucky?

Buddy of mine put a few ounces in his old 7.3 Powerstroke and it started idling smooth for the first time in years. Swears by it now but I still get nervous messing with fuel system chemistry.

1975 F-250 ran like crap till I dumped a quart in the tank.

Man I had a 77 F-150 that was the same way. Dumped a quart of ATF in the tank and it ran like a top after that. Tried it on my buddy's old Cummins too and it smoothed right out.
