TIL my art station's color accuracy was off for 6 months because of a $9 desk lamp
I found out last week that the warm LED bulb in my cheap IKEA lamp was making everything I showed in my portfolio look slightly yellow, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with lighting ruining their online gallery posts, should I just rely on my monitor's calibration profile instead?

A $9 lamp making your art look a bit yellow for 6 months is not the disaster people in the comments are making it out to be. Most people viewing your portfolio are on phones with auto brightness and night mode on, so their screen is already shifting colors way more than your bulb ever did. Fix the lamp if it bugs you, but don't act like it ruined your whole gallery. If clients were still hiring you during those 6 months, the yellow wasn't the problem.
