Kept 8,000 screenshots instead of deleting them
Had to pick between a cloud subscription or finally deleting 8,000 screenshots off my phone last month. I went with the cloud since I couldn't handle losing random reference pics from 2019. Cost me $3 a month but now I have 12GB of useless stuff I'll never look at again. The worst part is I still take new screenshots every day without thinking. Real talk: does anyone actually sort through their screenshots or just let them pile up forever?

I finally set a firm LIMIT of 2,000 screenshots on my phone after my storage kept maxing out. Every Sunday morning I spend 5 minutes scrolling through the newest ones and deleting anything I don't actually need - most are dead memes or expired coupons anyway. The trick was turning on that "delete after 30 days" alert in my settings so I get a nudge before they pile up too badly. Now I keep the cloud for stuff I really might use again, like receipts and instruction manuals, but everything else gets the boot.

Wait, 2,000 is a firm limit? I think I passed that last Tuesday alone between screenshots of grocery lists and photos of my cat doing nothing special. I do the same Sunday purge but mine usually ends up with me re-saving three memes I just deleted because they're funnier in the moment. Maybe I need that 30 day alert because my phone currently has 47 screenshots of the same parking spot reminder.
