A barista in Medellin helped me fix my whole work schedule
I was struggling to focus in the afternoons, and she told me I was fighting my own body clock by starting at 9am instead of matching the local rhythm. She suggested I work 7-12, take a long break for lunch and a nap, then do client calls in the evening. Has anyone else had better luck shifting their hours to fit a city's natural pace instead of forcing a US-style day?

US hours work fine if you're consistent. That advice only fits people without deadlines.

The 2pm crash is real, but what got me was the sleep part. I tried this in Barcelona for a month and my deep sleep went up by like 40% according to my watch, just because I stopped fighting the siesta. Deadlines actually got easier since I was sharper at 7am than I ever was at 9. Shane, consistency only works if your energy levels cooperate, and most people don't have that luxury. The real trick is testing it for two weeks and watching your own output, not guessing.
