I spent two weeks hopping between spots in Sukhumvit last month and noticed a clear divide. The cheap places ($5 a day) are packed with people taking Zoom calls in the open area, while the fancy ones charge $20 and feel dead quiet. Which do you think is actually better for getting work done?

The quiet ones at $20 are basically libraries where everyone glares at you for breathing too loud. The cheap spots turn into a battleground where you're fighting for elbow room with a dozen people on video calls at once. Maybe the real sweet spot is just noise-canceling headphones and a corner table at a random cafe instead.

I once walked into one of those $20 quiet spaces and a guy actually shushed me for setting my bag down too hard on the floor. Meanwhile at the cheap spot I had a lady eating a whole tuna salad sandwich right next to me while on a Zoom call, crumbs flying everywhere.
