Lost $400 on a co-living spot in Lisbon that was a total dump
I booked a co-living space in Lisbon for a month based on photos that showed a nice modern kitchen and fast wifi. Got there and the kitchen had mold, the wifi dropped every 20 minutes, and my room had no real window. The owner just kept saying 'I fix tomorrow' for two weeks and nothing changed. I ended up leaving after 10 days and losing $400 because their refund policy was buried in fine print. Has anyone else had a co-living booking look way better online than it actually was?

Oh man, those fake photos are basically a scam at this point.

Are you talking about the obviously fake ones or the ones where they use AI to clean up lighting and skin blemishes? Because I've seen people get absolutely roasted for doing minor touch ups that you'd expect from basic editing. But then you have folks charging real money for portraits that are clearly just generated heads swapped onto bodies. Where do you personally draw the line between editing and straight up lying? I'm genuinely curious because the rules seem to change depending on which corner of the internet you're in.

Right? @stellat46 I got a portrait back once and the person didn't even look like me anymore.
