So I rolled my eyes at coworking memberships, then ended up in a $400 one in Lisbon

I've been bouncing between cafes and hostels for 6 months now, thinking coworking spaces were just for people who wanted to feel like they had an office. But after 3 weeks of buying $5 lattes just to sit near an outlet and dealing with a guy on a Zoom call about his dog's bowel movements, I finally caved and paid for a month at this place near Cais do Sodre. Honestly? I got more done in 4 days than I did in the previous 2 weeks. The internet never dropped during my video calls, there was a quiet zone, and I actually met 3 other nomads who gave me a better route for my next stop. Has anyone else been burned by a coworking space that was all hype, or am I late to the party on this one?

That $400 paid for itself the first time I answered a call without shouting over a blender.
