I finally stopped believing those magnetic bracelet claims after my own test

Bought a $15 magnetic bracelet from a hardware store for my wrist pain, wore it for 3 weeks straight while renovating my basement drywall. No difference in soreness at all, just a dirty bracelet.

Did you actually try a proper medical grade one though? Because those cheap hardware store things are basically just rubber bands with metal glued on. I was skeptical too until my neighbor let me borrow her real magnetic bracelet from a physical therapy clinic. It cost around $80 but after wearing it for two weeks my chronic wrist pain dropped from a 6 to a 2. The difference was night and day.

My buddy Dave tried the cheap copper ones for his tennis elbow, zero change after a month of wearing it to work. Then his wife got him one from a real clinic, said it felt like a warm compress was on his arm all day. He still wears it but admits it might just be placebo, doesn't care since his elbow feels better.

My neighbor tried one of those cheap copper ones from the drugstore for her carpal tunnel and it was a total waste of 15 bucks. She wore it for three weeks and her wrist actually hurt worse from the cheap metal rubbing on her skin. Then her sister gave her a proper medical grade one from a real clinic and she said it felt like a warm hug on her wrist all day. She still swears by it even though she knows it's probably just the placebo effect. Honestly, if my brain can convinced itself to feel better from a fancy looking bracelet, I'll take that deal any day over another cortisone shot.
