Still think battery-powered mowers are overhyped garbage

Ngl, I've been telling neighbors for 2 years that cordless mowers can't handle a real lawn. But my buddy Dave let me borrow his Ego mower last week after I blew a belt on my old gas Toro. Cranked through my whole yard on one charge, didn't even bog down in the damp stuff by the fence. I ate my words. Has anyone else had a similar turn around with a tool they swore they'd never touch?

40 percent after half an acre" sounds like a marketing claim, not real world.

Dave's Ego still had 40 percent battery after my whole half acre.

Right, so I guess I owe Dave an apology and maybe a six pack. Watched my neighbor wrestle his corded electric mower through wet grass for an hour while I just cruised around with that Ego like it was nothing. My old gas Toro used to choke on that same damp patch by the fence, Dave's machine just chewed through it like it was nothing. Battery tech must have gotten way better since I last paid attention, feels like my whole anti-electric rant aged about as well as milk. You still getting three seasons out of that same battery pack or did you have to upgrade by now?
