Got a parking ticket in Portland for barely over the line, but the city car next to me was fully in the bike lane
I measured my curb distance after the ticket, it was like 4 inches over, and the city plow truck sat right there blocking bikes for an hour with zero enforcement. Has anyone else caught municipal vehicles skating by on rules they'd nail regular folks for?

Fought mine by taking photos of the city truck in the bike lane with a timestamp and the ticket receipt, then sent both to the parking enforcement office with a note about equal treatment. They actually waived the fine within a week, probably because it was easier than dealing with the public records request I mentioned. Next time just document everything and call their bluff, it's amazing how fast they fold when you show them their own people do the same thing.
