Had a nightmare day where every single dimension was off by 1/8 inch

Last Tuesday I was working on a kitchen cabinet layout for a client in Portland and somehow every measurement I took from the site plan was just a little bit off. I ended up having to redo all 14 cabinet panels on the CAD file because the whole thing didn't line up with the actual wall spacing. Has anyone else had a day where your brain just refuses to read a tape measure right?

Oh I had a DAY like that once and I swear my tape measure was gaslighting me on purpose. I measured a countertop three times, got 36.5 inches every time, then the fourth try it magically said 37. Thanks, tape, real helpful.

Man, those days are brutal. Had a similar meltdown last month where I measured the same wall three times and got three different numbers. Finally realized I was reading the tape from the wrong end, the hook was bent on the first inch. Felt like my brain just decided to take the day off and leave me to handle the tape measure solo.

Oh man, you too? Same thing happened to me but with a laser measure that kept giving me different readings. I was ready to throw it into the drywall. Finally figured out the battery was low and it was acting all funky, giving me random numbers. And the worst part is that whole afternoon I spent double checking everything, just to find out it was the tool, not me. Makes you feel like a total idiot for a minute, right?
