The day I had to pick between hand drafting and CAD for a bathroom remodel
Last month I was laying out a small bathroom remodel and had to decide whether to sketch it by hand like my old mentor taught me or jump straight into AutoCAD. I stuck with hand drafting for the initial layout because it felt faster for the rough dimensions, but then I spent three hours re-drawing when the homeowner changed the tub location. Has anyone else dealt with the struggle of choosing between old school methods and digital tools on a tight job?

Oh man, I totally get that! Last year I spent a whole afternoon sketching a kitchen layout by hand only to realize the window I measured was off by four inches.

Oh geez, four inches off the whole window! That's brutal. I once measured a room for new furniture and somehow added an extra foot to one wall, ended up with a couch that blocked the front door completely. Had to sit on it sideways for like two years before I finally gave in and sold it. Nothing like that sinking feeling when you realize your own math betrayed you.
