Warning: that hydraulic fluid advice from the old guy in Morgan City nearly ruined my pump

He told me to run straight ISO 32 in my Ellicott 370-D during summer, but last week the seals blew out at 2 AM costing me $4,200 in repairs. Anyone else get bad info from a "been doing this 40 years" operator?

Wait, you paid him $4,200 for advice? That is a lot of money, I can't believe someone would charge that and then not even give you solid information. It sounds like he was just guessing half the time, which is really disappointing after you put that kind of trust in him.
