Used to swear by dark paint for desert houses until last summer

Made the exact same switch last year and my AC barely runs until late afternoon now. Went with a ceramic coating on the roof and the difference in upstairs temps was noticeable within days. Best money I ever spent on that house, hands down.

Friend told me to slow down and actually watch the credits

Matt's advice sounds solid, I've started letting the credits breathe too and it's wild how much more I remember.

Caught an AI art piece in a client's logo that had a hand with 6 fingers

3 out of 4 times the six finger thing is what gives it away for me too. I started checking the ears actually - ai still messes up the shape and shadows around them pretty bad. Had a client last month who almost posted a wolf howling at the moon image, and the wolf had like 7 toes on one paw. Caught it right before she hit publish, she was so relieved. Now I always triple check any animal feet too, not just hands and eyes.

Update: I used to just ignore my credit report when trying to rent in Austin, but now I get a free copy from AnnualCreditReport.com every 4 months before I even start looking.

Funny enough @davis.olivia I used to think credit reports were mostly right and you just had to live with mistakes. Then I found a paid off student loan from 2017 still listed as active and it knocked my score down by like 40 points. Getting them to fix that was a huge pain but totally worth it. I didn't realize how much old stuff gets stuck on there until I actually checked. Now I look at all three reports every few months just to make sure nothing weird is hanging around.

Been fighting with sticky brake cables for months, finally tried something different

Wait is this really that big of a deal for most people though? I mean yeah the liner gets a little grimy but it's not like it's blocking the whole airflow or something. I've been running the same basic hose setup for like three winters and I just give it a quick rinse when the season ends. Never had any major gunk issues. Feels like sometimes folks overthink this stuff and start buying all sorts of accessories when the old way works fine. Maybe I just got lucky with my climate or something but it never seemed worth getting heated hoses or fussing over compression.
