A client in Dallas told me my taping looked 'like a roller coaster'

I was finishing a basement last week and the homeowner said he could see waves in my seams from across the room. He was right, I was rushing the first coat and not feathering it out enough. So I went back, added a wider second coat with my 10-inch knife, and really focused on a smooth transition. Has anyone else gotten that kind of blunt feedback that actually helped?

Like a roller coaster" is a new one. I've had a guy tell me my mud work looked like a topographical map of the moon. It stings, but it gets you moving.

But it just kills your drive.

Yeah, that feeling @phoenix_martin40 is talking about is the worst. It just sucks the wind right out of your sails. But sometimes that sting is the only thing that gets you off the couch, you know? You let it sit for a minute, then use it as fuel. Otherwise you just stay stuck feeling bad about it. Gotta turn that kill into a spark somehow.
