Question about a Chicago parking ticket I got last winter. Paid a $75 late fee because the city website was down.

My last chargeback was for a $12.99 streaming service that billed me three months after I canceled. The bank asked for so much proof, I felt like I was on trial for fraud over the price of a large pizza. I sent them old emails and screenshots of the cancellation page. It took three weeks and I won, but the victory felt pretty hollow.

Just tried to make a simple Python counter and it broke after 999,997 clicks

Wait, hours over a single space? That's actually painful to read. Modern editors should flag that before you even save the file. We have the tech to highlight mismatched brackets instantly, so why not indentation? It seems like a basic thing to catch. Letting those tiny slips through just wastes so much time. The tools need to get smarter about the actual structure, not just the colors.

The time I picked a 3/8 drive ratchet over a 1/2 inch for a tight spot on a Dover governor

Exactly, sometimes the right tool is just the one that fits!

Vent: I tried to follow a 'no knead' sourdough recipe for a month and it was a disaster

My last loaf was so dense you could have used it for self defense. I get what grantw41 is saying, that old school hands on kneading makes a real difference. Those no knead recipes can trick you into thinking it's easy, but the dough never gets the right feel. You have to get in there and work it until it changes. It's the only way to build up the gluten structure properly for a light crumb. Otherwise you're just baking flour paste.
